This is the autobiography of Dr. AA Siassi who was born in Iran in 1896. It traces his early education in a country with rich culture, but very poor educational system with greater than 90 percent illiteracy rate and paucity of institution of higher learning. He was the youngest person at age of 17 to be selected as part of 23 students for study in France. His passion for learning research and writing culminated in a PhD degree from Sorbonne University with honors. Returning to Iran, he started his teaching careers from early 1920s to late 1970s. He was the founder of modern scientific psychology in IRAN. He was instrumental in organizing Tehran University as a cohesive unit, becoming his first president and advancing its reputation as one of the best universities in middle east in 1940s. He served as minister of education in several cabinets with primary aim of drafting bill and law for National Compulsory free Education and Teacher Training Colleges and took necessary measures for its enforcement 1943. He dedicated his entire life to teaching, advancement of knowledge and culture and Universal Free Education for all his countrymen.
