With the influence of globalization, the issue of environmental pollution, which has gained an international dimension, has become one of the most important topics in transnational meetings and discussions. Indeed, environmental issues have long surpassed the threshold of becoming a national security problem for countries and have reached a point where they seriously threaten international security and the future of the universe. This increasingly complex issue is being addressed with a bundle of solutions that have economic, social, political, ethical, and even religious dimensions.

With modernity, reason and human beings were placed at the center, and social life was rationalized, replacing the theocentric worldview with a human-centered one. For this reason, the theological governance model, which derived its legitimacy from religion, was replaced by secular power, with religion being relegated from social life. The idea of human freedom, which emphasizes the liberation of man and science, became widespread and stronger, and this idea became the central focus of all political and philosophical thought. In this process, it was assumed that humans, by using their intellect, would increase their knowledge about nature and themselves.
