VERY compelling evidence for the real Mt. Sinai

I bought "Relic Quest" at a conference in Iowa where I heard Bob Cornuke(the author) speak. Mr. Cornuke has done amazing work in the field of Biblical Archaeology, uncovering pieces of evidence that none of the "scholars" seem interested in finding. Even though he is not a trained scholar, Mr. Cornuke has a deep respect for the Bible and has used literal translations of scripture AND a literal interpretation of scripture to set up his hypotheses. He has also pursued proof of his theories with a zeal that few in academia ever possess. "Relic Quest" follows Cornuke to Saudi Arabia in search of Mount Sinai. Not only does Cornuke use scripture to dispel the traditional Mount Sinai site in Egypt, he uses Moses' own description of the mountain in Exodus to back up his theory that Jabal-Al-Lawz, a Saudi mountain, IS in fact the real Mount Sinai. Cornuke presents all of his evidence clearly in the form of his true-life adventure in Arabia and makes a point of telling his readers to look at the evidence and decide for themselves. The book also includes several pages of pictures, including one of a four-story boulder split down the middle with signs of water erosion all around it(ring a bell?). This, among other things has me thinking that Cornuke has indeed found Mt. Sinai! The second half of "Relic Quest" deals with Cornuke's search for the Ark of the Covenant. Although this second story is not nearly as compelling as the Sinai story, Cornuke does try to be as thorough as he can in his search. This part if the book takes place in Ethiopia, where locals believe the Ark is in a small monastery guarded by lone priest. Cornuke's search turns up no new evidence, but he does come to believe that the Ark IS in Ethiopia. The story concludes with Cornuke presenting a new theory about the Ark and the End Times that some would call outrageous. I myself am undecided about his theory, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if he's right. God does tend to work in VERY strange ways that we know VERY little about. With all of that said, I would definitely recommend Bob Cornuke's "Relic Quest" to anyone interested. It's a fast read and the evidence presented WILL get you thinking and re-thinking how you look at scripture.

Unbelievable Book!!!

This book is AWESOME! I literally couldn't put it down and have told everyone about it. I'm glad to finally know where the "Ark of the Covenant" rests. I hope it continues to stay preserved and protected until the day it is revealed again. All of Robert Cornuke's work is fascinating and seems very credible.

A REAL life INDANIA Jones

This is a Series of Stories from A Real life Indiana Jones; Cornuke is out in search of the Ark of the Covenant, the Real Mount Sini, the route of the Exodus, ancient Alters, Moses' cave and other artifacts from the Bible (it starts whit his search for Noah's Ark, but Cornuke has another book that details that series of searches better called Ark Fever-which I would highly recommend). His search is filled with adventure and danger. Many of these searches are in Hostile countries (Iran, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia), with Governments hostile to Americans and hostile to Jewish People, Christians and anything dealing with the Bible. This would be a great book (or Audio book) for anyone who likes a good detective story or adventure story; the differences hear is its all true I won' go into what Cornuke finds or does not find I will leave that for you to read, lets just say some of the finds are very exciting. I would stay this would be a good book to give someone to get them interested in the bible.

Will the real Indiana Jones please stand up?

Walking past the reference section, this book caught my eye. Two days later, I had binged through the entire 259 pages. Cornuke has an unbelevable way of telling a personal tale. He weaves his personal story in such a masterful way, that it may has well have been fiction (until I saw the photos in the back of the book, I had honestly forgotten). This book opens in 1988, 2nd chapter slips back to 1978, but we don't find out the end of the 1988 impromtu kidnapping by some Saudi guards until the middle of the book. The good news is that I tremendously enjoyed turning over every page, hungering for every last morsal. Cornuke revealed to the reader of his amazing life spent hunting for Biblical truths and artifacts, and I was cheering for him through from cover to cover. The adventure, thrill, historical insight, and pure entertainment of this book made it an excellent read. It's one of those books that'll keep you, as a reader, entertained but (if summer reads seem indulgent) is absolutely guilt free thanks to his vast knowledge of the Bible, the mideast, Africa, and risk. This book is certainly not one to turn your nose up at. Suitable for non-fiction and fiction readers alike. Cornuke discovered and experienced a truth of the Bible that most of us never will. But thanks to this book, we get front row seats.
