My hats off to Jan Dynes for a job well done! As a first time author, she has put together a novel that is well written and enjoyable to read. The characters are believable and it is easy to become engrossed into their world. This novel will fill the reader with sorrow, joy, passion and fear. It surely is a page-turner, packed with non stop action and interludes of spicy romance.
It was fast and kept me guessing, I really loved it.

What a fun book to be involved in murder, yet I still found it to be a relationship novel, good strong ones too, ones I could believe in. I can see this very visual book becoming a blockbuster movie. Diane and Joan would make wonderful platforms for a couple of 30 something actresses to use the rich story to shine. I'll be passing my copy around, I want to see more from this author.
This is unputdownable, read the book for a great roller-coaster ride.

Okay, I admit it, this book hooked me like a big-mouthed bass. I swallowed the hook and enjoyed running with the terrific plot. I was in a focus group for the book and had an advance copy to consider making it into a movie. Out of 750 in the group, the vote was 748 to the positive and I think the other 2 people must have fallen asleep, or nothing could make them happy. Because this book is adventure packed and entertaining as all get out. Really read it, you'll be reccommending it too!

I have seldom been as impressed by a new author. The story is full of twists and a complicated plot line, but nothing is left unexplained by the end. The book had a great cast of characters, you either hated or loved, but there was never ambivalence. The characters are human and believable, not perfect. I think readers will identify with the story and especially the relationships. It had a creepy murderer and when he appears, your skin crawls. But there was a love-story too; mixed up in the murder and intrigue. I would highly recommend this book to any reader who likes a fast paced thriller that is multi-faceted.
Jan Dynes book Refraction is a very entertaining book.
