Redemption-beginnings, endings, beginning again

Just finished reading this book. The thing I loved MOST in this book was the strength of both Kari Baxter Jacobs and her Dad, John Baxter. Their strength comes from a great Faith and I am one who loves hearing a good faith story. Peaks and valleys within this book but all for a wonderful message within the story line. Ready to begin the next book in this series- Remember. "Great is Thy Faithfulness" is a perfect theme for the Baxter family. I would recommend this book.

My favorite book of all time!

This book would have to be my favorite because it is the beginning of my favorite series. These books were what got me wanting to read. I have never been one who liked to read and in my mid twenties someone let me borrow this book and the rest of the series. I have been hooked ever since. I have finally got to purchase the whole series after 5 years ! if you are going to buy this book then go ahead and and spend a few more dollars and get the whole series. You won't be able to put it down once you start. Hope you enjoy!

Great beginning of a remarkable series

Redemption was the first book of Karen Kingsbury's that I read. Someone had passed it along to me and I almost didn't read it, thinking it looked too much like a romance novel. I found myself immediately immersed in the vividly painted characters and their trials. This is truly a book for anyone who wants to learn more about developing empathy, relating to family and friends, and working out a troubled marriage. As a devout Catholic, I found the Christian backdrop to the story very moving. It always carries the point that relying on God and trusting in Him is the only way to make the right life choices. Perhaps an even better reason to buy this book is that it's the first in a series of 5 beautiful novels, each of which explores the lives of individuals in the Baxter family. My sound advice is to buy all 5 of the Redemption Series at once, because you will be eager to get to the next book as you close each preceding one. You'll also find your own faith bolstered by the many messages contained within the story line.

Can't put it down......

I never sit down and take time to read books. I borrowed this book from a friend of mine and I could not put it down. I have read this book in 2 days. I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

Simply wonderful

This book was wonderful, it turned a horrible situation for one young lady into a true learning experience. It gave other options and showed different views to situation which people hope that they never face but often do. A wonderful Christian based novel. I can't wait to read the next book about the Baxter family.

Absolutely Fabulous!!!

I read this book and also found it very hard to put down. The Lord lead me to read this book every day. Even though I could not always find the time to read the Bible and this book everyday I did not feel guilty at all about doing it. This book is a perfect example of what happens to those who do not follow the Lord and try to do his will on a daily basis.

Heart Challenging

This book was AMAZING! I couldn't put it down. It is all about the redemption that God brings to your life when you give him the right to do so. It is a challenging book that everyone should read, young or old, married or not.The book is about the redemption that God brings to a marriage that is without hope and people that have to trust God to take the broken pieces of life to make a beautiful tapestry. It touched the deepest parts of my heart and challenged me to look at how I love others.I can't wait to read the next book in the series and see how God works in the lives of the Baxter family - all of them!!Read it!I sat down to read for a bit and then before I knew it I was done and hours had passed me by and I joined in the lives of those that were being redeemed, and I myself was redeemed too, just by reading it.
