Not for Sammy Fans

If you are a Sammy fan, don't buy this book. It will open his life to you and you may not like him by the end. Even though Sammy wrote this himself, he doesn't hide what a horrible person he is. He does have that Rock Star Attitude which conflicts with his "down home boy" persona he markets. I've read Lita Ford's book and DR's book. Everyone one of them have 1 similar trait: I'm the best and no one matters but me. At best Sammy's an absent husband with a mentally ill wife and an absent father with his 2 boys. He had his family on welfare for a long time. When he finally makes some cash, he spends it on a sports car. Meanwhile, he thinks it's hilarious to be on welfare and unemployment and drive a sports car. Then of course there's the women, drugs and drinking. I already had read about his hate for DLR. I think it's petty jealousy on Sammy's part. And of course the VH brothers massive amounts of booze and drugs. (RIP ED VH) Oh and he thinks he invented everything and is a math genius. Typical rock star attitude. Overall the book really needs an editor. The timeline is constantly wonky. Makes it hard to follow.

Classic Rock & Roll Experience

This book is a total trip. It's so much fun to read and it really takes you back in time to when rock & roll was the dominant genre of music. Sammy is a great man and it's enlightening to read about him and his life. He's more than just a rock & roll icon. He's a down to earth, fun, upbeat guy. This book really showcases that. I had a lot of fun reading this book!
