Very Informative and interesting...

This was a very well written, informative, "chatty" style book. I would have liked to see more recipes and more in depth explanations about the recipes, but it is a great "starter" book if you want an introduction to what the era was like. I especially liked the "chatty" style it was written in - I felt like I was sitting down to a cup of tea with a wiser, older, more knowlegeable friend.
