Is Jeremy Mitchell Cooking Up Romance? Overworked chef Jeremy has ordered up the perfect vacation: a fly-fishing getaway and some much-needed alone time. But when he arrives in the Colorado mountain town, he's immediately captivated by the lovely proprietor of the bed-and-breakfast, not to mention her young son. Alison Taylor still mourns her first husband even as she fights to keep their shared dream of a B and B alive. But there's no denying that she and her big-city guest have all the right ingredients for something special. Will this star-crossed pair realize that second chances can happen...if only they'll let them?
I read Recipe for Love, by Brandy Bruce as a reviewer. The book was hard to put down and very moving. Alison, a young widow, lives with her 8 year old son, Nicholas, in a struggling B&B in a small town in the mountains of Colorado with a beautiful river running on the property. Ethan, a chef from a fancy Italian restaurant in Denver comes to the B&B to spend a week to enjoy time away and an opportunity to do some fly-fishing. Both are believers and Ethan enjoys the community church, it’s ministries, and a festival. Ethan and Alison work together in a chili contest at the festival. Ethan and Alison struggle to develop a relationship due to Alison working through the loss of her husband, the distance between their homes, and the acceptance by Alison’s parents and her 8-year old son. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more of Ms. Bruce’s books.
