Realms Collide Patch 1.0

By Mr Daniel James

Frank had finally made it.
Nineteen years old. First house. First mortgage. Mates on the deck, beers flowing, music playing.
For once, life was going exactly the way it was supposed to.
Then the world updated.
No warning. No explanation. Just one impossible message
PATCH 1.0 INSTALLED.
In an instant, Earth stops playing by the old rules.
Game mechanics become reality. Levels appear. Skills unlock. Monsters roam places that were safe only hours before. Magic is real, death is permanent, and every survivor is suddenly a player in a game nobody agreed to join.
Frank's new house should have been the beginning of his adult life.
Instead, it becomes his first base.
With his stunned best mate Kev beside him, increasingly questionable tutorial messages appearing at the worst possible moments, and even his bloody fridge developing more personality than it has any right to, Frank has to figure out the new rules before something figures him out first.
But surviving the first few days is only the beginning.
The world is changing fast.
New races are appearing. Monsters are getting stronger. Territory matters. Resources matter. Alliances matter. And whatever caused the Update seems to have plans far bigger than turning Earth into a game.
Frank never asked to become a fighter.
He definitely never asked to become a leader.
But when everything you know disappears overnight, you've got two choices:
Level up... or get left behind.
Packed with base building, progression, monsters, loot, friendship, brutal fights, Australian humour and a world that grows more dangerous with every discovery, Realms Collide: Patch 1.0 is the beginning of a LitRPG adventure where Earth hasn't ended.
It's just been patched.
If you enjoy LitRPG, progression fantasy, system apocalypse stories, base building, survival, humour and characters who have absolutely no idea what they're doing at first, welcome to Patch 1.0.
The Update is complete.
Now try to survive it.
