A fully pleasurable read for beginners, or those who are just curious about the Bible.

Rarely has learning about the Bible been so easy and enjoyable. Author Lane Burgland speaks about the text, it's meanings and their underlying values that most casual readers may not notice. His Lutheran-based point of view is candid, yet well-spoken and surprisingly informative. Most importantly, he leaves behind the self-righteous lingo that most authorities use so unashamedly. His writing is fluid and easy to read. And, well, it's easy to understand, too.
