Not bad, has a lot of potential...

As a fan of horror & Korean manhwa, I was intrigued by the idea of a posessed book. I picked it up at a local Borders as part of a sale figuring that even if I didn't like it, it would still be a "win-win" situation as I got it cheaper than it would normally be. The plotline partially follows a young teenager (Eun-Sae) who agrees to help volunteer to clean up a horribly neglected library with her crush Kyung-Do. As she tries her best to get him to notice her (and succeeds rather quickly), she also notices that there's something very wrong with one of the books there. It's not only emanating an aura of evil, but she's afraid of it taking control of Kyung-Do. After the librarian jumps out of the window, the story begins to shift focus to a pair of detectives, one of which previously attended the school & knew a girl who also committed suicide within the library. Overall, this is a pretty interesting manhwa. It's not the scariest I've ever read, but it has a lot of potential. It just feels a little... stretched out in places, as if they're trying to stretch the plotline into more volumes than it needs to be. There's a strong resemblance to 'Ringu' with some of the book elements, but doesn't come off as a pale imitation. Fans of horror manhwa & manga will enjoy this read!
