Book Overview

Wendy Mass's spin on Rapunzel comes to our charming WISH line. The girl's stuck in a tower. The boy's stuck in a castle. There are two sides to every fairy tale....

Rapunzel is having the ultimate bad day. She's been stolen by a witch, may have a ghost for a roommate, and doesn't even have a decent brush for her hair.Prince Benjamin's got it pretty tough, too. His father wants him to be more kingly, his mother wants him to never leave her sight,...

Great Book!

My [....] daughter absolutely loved this book. I was a little worried at first due to the length of the book, but it held her interest. We read it alound together, and she was one the edge of her seat wanting to know what would happen next. I liked the way there were two stories in one and how it switched back and forth and how it all came together in the end. I thought it was very well written.

READ THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!

This is a great book! I love the author's voice, and how every chapter is either Prince Benjamin's or Rapunzel. This story follows the whole plot line of the original, but adds some twists and turns, like what really goes on in the tower, and what goes on with Prince Benjamin before he ever meets Rapunzel. This is a very good book for 9-12 year olds, and for anyone who likes hilarious books!!!!!!! ;) READ THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Twice Upon A Time Book Review

I really loved and enjoyed this book. I t was hard to put down and cougbht my attention. I liked how Repunzel and Prince Benjamin were both trapped but in different ways. For example Repunzel was captured by an evil witch that locked her and left her in a tower that's only door is a trapped door, which she did not know of until she saw it through a compact mirror.Prince Benjamin is trapped in his castle because his mom wont let him leave her sight and he is thirteen years old! There paths cross later when the prince is out in the woods looking for a treasure that he later finds out is a myth, he hears her singing and follows it to the castle and tries to save her.

Twice Upon A Time book review

The book Twice Upon A Time by; Wendy Mass was one of the most enjoyable and the hardest to put down book that I have ever read. I liked how in both stories Rapunzel's and Prince Benjamin's path started different but then came toghether. I also liked how they were both trapped but in different ways. For example Repunzel is trapped in a castle and Prince Bejamin is not able to leave his mothers sight and he is now thirteen years old! Can you believe that? I truely and honestly loved and enjoyed this book.

A book you can't miss!

I loved this book. I think it is one of the best books I have ever read. I like it because it has the original base line of the Rapunzel story you all know, but then, it has twists to it. There are a lot of things you don't expect. The Prince finds Rapunzel in a very different way than you would expect. There are also some unexpected creatures in the book. One of the strange creatures you can find out about in this book is a green person who helps Rapunzel out. The Prince is not one of the most sporty people. He enjoys chess but does not like hunting or any other sport his family can think of. Rapunzel is a bit self-absorbed at first, but then she starts thinking of others more. One thing Rapunzel found in the tower is a cat, who she names Sir Kitty. (I don't understand why the cat is called Sir Kitty because the cat is a girl.) This is an amazing book. I read it for school, and I was supposed to do reading projects for it. I wrote a song about the original Rapunzel story, which goes to the tune of "What Child Is This." It fits with this story, because a song is sung in the book about the adventures of the story. (I don't want to give too much away, but I don't think I have said too much.) The Damsel and the Knight There was a damsel in distress. Trapped inside a tower. The king and queen sent the royal guards. They searched for many an hour. Help! Help! Said the damsel fair With her dirty dress and her tangled hair. Help! Help! Come and get me out! Was what they heard her shout. A knight in armor heard her cries While hunting in the woods that day. He climbed her hair and got her down In the most amazing way. Thank you for such a save! I've never seen a knight so brave! I feared that I'd soon be dead, But now thee I shall wed I am ten years old and in the fourth grade. My name is Emma. I think this book is good for third graders and up. (My mom submitted this for me.)
