This highly acclaimed book explodes the myths we have about men and success and shows what it really takes to succeed--both professionally and personally. An honest book, with fresh insights into... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I have been around "successful people" all my life who seemed to be extremely unhappy with their situation. Outwardly they often project the image that their life is great; however, when you get to know them better and they let their guard down; they turn out to be some of the most restless people on the planet. They focus on possessions, titles, activities, etc. and lose sight of what really results in peace of mind and contentment. As Ms. Halpers stated in her book...they use external yardsticks to measure success, pass out scorecards to everyone but themselves and live their life for everyone else. They also use arrogance to cover up insecurities. I think this book does a great job of explaining some of the reasons why successful men get caught in this trap. This book can save people many years of frustration. Why not read about what others discovered after years of trying things that do not result in true success and minimize the amount of time you spend on a "path to nowhere?"I always like to learn in a few minutes what it took others years to realize. This is a great source for understanding issues that will help you get on a more meaningful path in life. This book offers rat race participants a lot fo "food for thought." I'm glad Ms. Halper shared her interesting thoughts with me in this book.
