An educational institution; a student body of more than 50,000, a "God-fearing" whistleblower, and a question of [loyalty] are the backdrops for this tragedy. Educators are given the task [by law] to report any known or suspected harm, or injustices against children in their care; considering them "mandatory reporters." However, filing a report against her lead teacher who challenged her integrity to alter a special needs student state CRCT, labeled the author a "whistleblower!" Although the school district has a "Policy on Ethics and Whistleblowing at Atlanta Public Schools" in place, the author was denied whistleblower rights and suffered horrendous retaliations and wrongful termination. Inflating students test scores gives the appearance of an academic achievement that does not exist and could set them up for failure. Faced with a "Double-bind;" keeping quiet would bring such calamity into the lives of those children she had grown to love or speaking up as she herself became "victimized!" Did "loyalty" to the children she served prove "disloyalty" to the school district that fired her [in retaliation] for reporting [their] misconduct? With no [fair opportunity] given by the same courts that [enforced] her as a mandatory reporter, the author seeks solace in "the court of public opinion!"
