A book to share with grandchildren

This book will be part of the collection we are putting together to share with our grandchildren when they come to visit. Wonderful and colorful illustrations and many points to talk about and interact with the kids.

Empowering children

I would highly recommend these books for all. These books communicate heart to heart with children.

What a great Christmas book for children!

That said, I bought this in July! We love the Wemmick stories in our house so I had to make this a part of our collection and my little guy just loves it! It's about what the Wemmicks call "Maker Day," which is our version of Christmas. Punchinello loves Eli very much and sets out to do something special for him. He tells Eli, "I like you, I love you and I want all to see that without you, there'd be no me." But Eli reminds him that "just being with you is enough." Anyway, Punch sets out and in his travels, sees all the hustling and bustling of the holiday season. He first runs into his friend Hans who is busy making a seven-layer cake for Eli. He wants his gift to be the best gift of all. Then, Punch runs into Violet, the florist, who thinks her giant bouquet will be the best of Maker Day. Finally, Punch finds his friend Lucia a part of the competition who is working on a song to sing for the special day. Well, catastrophe happens which is quite funny and well, Punch actually is the one who winds up being the best of Maker day without even trying. He develops a praise song out of the words he spoke to Eli earlier: "I like you, I love you..." After the catastrophe, the whole town starts singing and playing the song and they keep singing it until they reach Eli's workshop. He sets down everything to listen and applauds them. The best thing to give your Maker is your heart and adoration, which is the moral to the story. What a great way to teach your child the true meaning of Christmas! Highly recommend!
