Psychodrome III: The Invasion

By Simon Hawke

A psychotic killer is running for President of the United States ... and he isn't human.

The ultimate shared-reality experience, brought to you by the masters of illusion at Psychodrome, a fantasy entertainment network where the home audience use their psych-fidelity implants to share consciousness with their favorite players. From erotic fantasies to deadly shared-reality adventures, there is a scenario for every taste, but Psychodrome's latest and most popular offering is much more than just a game.

The Invasion pits the players against alien beings able to read minds and take any form they see. The ambimorphs are capable not only of shapechanging, but of assuming the memories and DNA of any creature they consume ... including humans. With The Invasion, Psychodrome has pushed the boundaries of creating new levels of terror for their jaded audience. But what the audience doesn't know is that the game is just a cover-up for an invasion that is frighteningly real.

A shared-reality adventure that took the players to a quarantined world has brought a deadly shapechanger back to Earth. Now loose among the population and using cybernetic implants absorbed from the victims it consumed, Chamelion has mutated and started reproducing. Using the implants to launch psychic assaults at people who tune in, Chamelion and his offspring have launched a lethal alien pandemic of terror.

And Chamelion's latest victim is a former talk-show host turned U.S. Senator ... who is now running for the highest office in the land.
