Bland Translation but Good Plot

Over the few years I have been reading Japanese horror and mystery, I can't shake the feeling that all translations of these works come out as...well, bland. While that dosen't stop me from enjoying them. Koji Suzuki has given us a cult classic in J-Horror. Ring has been my favorite so far and while it's translation is slightly monotone, it will not stop from being a great book. Promenade of the Gods is the same way. A man is missing and it's up to his friend to find him. Like in Suzuki's other works, the final pages have quickly resolved all problems with the character's problems. A little shaky, but if you look over this and the translation, you will see that this is another good book to add to your Suzuki collection.
