Project'67 An Israeli Odyssey is the adventure story of a young Australian woman who finds herself on an impulsive trip to Israel where she signs up to spend some time on a small Kibbutz in the Negev Desert in the late 1970's. During her time in Israel she meets colourful and challenging characters where family secrets and political tensions are disclosed. She visits nearby Gaza and Jerusalem and travels south through the Sinai Peninsular to the Red Sea among the Bedouin desert people. 1978 is the year Israel's new political boundaries were extended allowing foreigners access to a part of the country that once belonged to Egypt for generations. The protagonist not only discovers the roots of her own Jewish heritage but discovers herself through unrequited love. When an unexpected tragedy occurs she is lead on a journey through a foreign land of political unrest where a mysterious relationship is revealed that gives her the answers she has been searching for.
