This carefully developed new book is appropriate for readers with varied backgrounds and learning styles. The authors incorporate numerous integrative features-such as systems integration charts and an integrative exercise physiology chapter-to help readers take what they learn on the cellular, chemical, organ, and system levels and apply it to the body as a whole. This technique weaves a relevant, concrete body systems integration theme throughout the book, helping readers to build on their knowledge. For college instructors and students.
This text is fine, nothing particularly endearing or worthwhile. I must have it for my class.
Easily the best

Ignore what your classmates, kaplan, PASS and the professor say - skip the terribly mediocre and incomprehensible Guyton and Berne and Levy and pick Germann up. This is EASILY the best physio book out there. The software package alone will get you through the toughest of concepts. This is one of the best-written textbooks on any subject out there and it makes learning about the human body, with its fantastic images and awesome explanations, fun and memorable.
Superb!

Exceedingly well written, concise, interesting, perhaps life-changing, this book makes the science seem less complex and easier to comprehend. A great study companion for my human physiology course, a major aid to my exam scores. Highly recommended for serious or casual studies, or even anyone with interest in the human body at all. I would even read this on my free time; in fact, Im going to go explore the unassigned chapters...

Great book to read for better understanding of human body functions. There are good and colorful illustrations in it. Through the guided illustrations and simplified physiological explanations, it makes easier to connect the function of one part of the body to the other. Well I made good grade on my exam in anatomy and physiology anyhow ... so I can say that this book helped me a lot.
