Excellent reading!

Archbishop Dolan's book is one of the finest books on the priesthood I have read in years. He applies the theology of the priesthood in a very practical way that relastes to my daily life as a priest. It should be required reading for all priests and seminarians. It's the closest thing to a "how to be a good priest" manual I have ever read.

A Pearl of Great Price!

I give this work of Archbishop Dolan top marks. Even after many years in the Priesthood I found this a very valuable impetus to my enthusiasm for my spirituality and for my pastoral work. I recommend it very highly to Priests and Seminarians. It is extremely challenging but refreshing and I think that is what we need if we want to be more effective in our vocation as Pastors. I wish I could make it compulsory reading in every Seminary!

Archbishop Dolan has given the Church a great gift in publishing the spiritual and formation conferences he gave while the rector of the North American College in Rome.The archbishop's style is readable and light-hearted, yet conveys the solemn holiness of the priesthood to whoever browses the pages of the book.This book is excellent reading for those currently in formation, those considering the priesthood, and those who want to have a better picture of the great gift of the life of a priest.

Great for the Future Priest

I really thought that this was a great book! It will really help me for the future if I do decide to become a Priest. I really recommend this book for anyone that has the slightest thought of going into the Priesthood!
