Book Overview

This story deals with the interesting experiences of an immigrant in his home country and the United States. Raised in an upper-class family and college-educated in his home country, he accepts a government job in the capital city and is later transferred to a rural part of the country. His socializing with some residents created a number of issues, the most important of which resulted in a dispute settlement and his plan to leave for the United States. In the United States, he studies up to graduate level, and job search and social life prove challenging. He returns to his home country for a while and holds a responsible job but circumstances force him to return to the United States to continue where he left off. He retires at age 65.
