Ancient Central America Cultures

Pre-Columbians Man Finds Central America is a wonderful read, an enjoyable journey with Doris Stone in text and pictures in Central America in their ancient cultures. It covers many areas in terms of classic times of Olmec, Maya and Aztec. She gave a rich history on this part of America in their motifs figurines and efficacy. These illustrated diverse cultures, beliefs and traditions. It is fun to know that they put jade in the deceased mouth for burial, very similar to a Chinese tradition (p.58). P.186, the sky-serpent on the surface of the jar looked very similar the Chinese dragon. These two points of interest cannot safely conclude that Chinese visited and influenced Central America. This book helps reader understand the past ancient and appreciate the present.
