By Brigid Danziger

Get students writing in math class with these prompts that promote deeper thinking

With this workbook of 100 critical thinking questions for Pre-Algebra topics, your middle schoolers will have to really think about each concept in order to write complete sentences that explain and answer the prompt.

Use as a daily or weekly warm-up to get the "math talk" going with partners, or have an individual student take time to test different numbers, think deeply, and understand the math principle well enough to put it into words.

Each page has space to write and areas to color or doodle while students think (or after they have finished).
