Practical Magic: The Motion Picture: The Official Tarot Deck and Guidebook

Follow the wisdom of the Owens sisters with this beautifully illustrated tarot deck inspired by Practical Magic and Practical Magic 2

As Sally Owens once said, there are some things you just know to do: Always throw spilled salt over your left shoulder, grow rosemary by your garden gate, plant lavender for luck, and, of course, fall in love whenever you can. For the times when life looks a little less certain, though--and maybe when you want some assistance with all that falling-in-love business--look no further than a tarot deck approved by the Owens sisters themselves. These 78 spellbinding, beautifully illustrated cards feature key moments and characters from Practical Magic and Practical Magic 2, reinterpreted as Major and Minor Arcana iconography. From Jet Owens as the High Priestess, the beloved Owens house as the Tower, rosemary as Strength, and Gillian as the Star, each card can help you illuminate your goals, desires, and ambitions through the helpful lens of your favorite witchy sisters. After all, there's a little witch in all of us, so embrace the magic and find your courage, one card at a time

Does not follow classic Tarot. Meanings attached to each card are "made up" to match the movie.

I was really looking forward to this deck after having the Practical Magic Oracle cards (from another creator). The Practical Magic Oracle deck is great, and it follows a traditional oracle card format. Unfortunately, these "tarot" cards are very far from classic tarot and not even close to the traditional meaning. First red flag: Tarot doesn't predict the future, and any honest "legit" tarotist will tell you that. Second red flag: the "Lover's" card isn't about "love," and the "Devil" card isn't about evil, as the guide claims. This deck isn't for any type of reading. The artwork is nice, but more towards a tween or teen audience. Like the Agatha All Along Tarot deck, this deck, for me, isn't an actual tarot deck but a promotional item for the movie franchise and a collector's item, since it is a deck of "tarot" cards that aren't actually Tarot cards.
