Good for understanding residential size wind energy

The author is a PHD who has written dozens of books and he utilized several wind power experts reviews, comments and experience throughout the book. He covers the basic history of wind energy and current growth in its utilization. Discusses wind resources on the planet. Wind energy systems on and off the grid are described. He covers the importance and requirements in wind site assessment. Then there are chapters on wind generators, wind turbine towers and their installation, batteries to store the energy, inverters to convert the battery electricity to usable home and office electricity, system maintenance, and ends with zoning, insurance and permits. It is well written and very informative. Its orientation is more of what you need to know for creating and using a wind energy system. It’s not how to create one.
