Young Russell Knight is lucky. Abnormally lucky but it turns out it's not really luck so much as his power is manipulating the world around him. He is enlightened to the existence of the power after a visit from his real sister. Shortly after her revelation he discovers he can control aspects of this power starting with teleportation and expanding from there. The amount of power he has to use grows daily with use and he constantly is experimenting with new ideas that may be turned into abilities using the power. What he can do with the power seems only limited by his imagination and practice. Russell is an adopted child. His step mother, Rachel Knight has molded him since he was a baby and she has done a good job, he is very level headed. Russell has known no other mother. His real sister also reveals that his birth family has been looking for him and because he fits the parameters of a more than 100 year old family prophesy, they are convinced that they need to kill him. After surviving their attempt to kill him he goes into hiding with his step mother. He surrounds himself with people who, along the way, he saves from various life hazards such as drugs, depression, manipulation etc. They trust him and he trusts them. He draws upon them for moral guidance and they help keep him from abusing his power. Occasionally he does make snap decisions and do things that they may not approve of if they knew about them. He shares some of his powers with these people. His step father died in a work related accident that was drug related and because of this he has a deep loathing of drugs and what it is doing to society. He begins a campaign to clean up the drug problem. He experiments in the area he attends college first with good success but realizes he might not be able to handle larger areas yet. Additionally his birth family discovers he is still alive and they alert other families who are power users. Is he prepared for a two front war?
