So, unlike other edited materials, the quality of each article is superb.2. As the title implies, this book was intended to provide the viewpoint to overview postwar Japan as an entity, upto 80s.3. The subjects, covered in this fat book (500 pages), vary from economy, mass culture, urban lifestyle to political practice. If you expect some in-depth specilized material, this is not your choice. But if you want to get some starting point, this is yours.
