Plump Little Reindeers' Night Before Christmas

Lucky for everyone, Santa has met plump little reindeer before.

Because Christmas Eve begins with two plump little reindeer jumping toys looking for mischief. They bounce across the furniture, race up and down the stairs, jump on their unmade beds and frighten the teddy bears. They rummage around the Christmas tree, splash in the swimming pool with water bombs and cover the lounge room in pretend snow.

Then they discover the kitchen...

They nibble the Christmas ham, lick the Christmas cake and gobble every last Christmas chocolate.

But the real trouble begins at bedtime. Instead of settling down, the plump little reindeer stay awake, peeping through the front door and making enough noise to wake the whole house.

Fortunately, Santa Claus knows plump little reindeer very well. With a clever Santa trick, he soon has the mischievous pair fast asleep before continuing his Christmas Eve journey around the world.

And where are the plump little reindeer when morning comes?

Tucked safe in bed, sound asleep beside their teddy bears.

This whimsical Christmas picture book was inspired by the opening of the beloved poem A Visit from St. Nicholas. It celebrates imagination, laughter and the magical ideas that toys can come alive, make mischief and that Santa especially loves children who are tucked safely into bed on Christmas Eve.
