Book Overview
No man can escape his legacy - no matter how far he runs.
Scotland 1431: Darach MacKenna's world is overturned when he learns the truth about his parentage-a secret that shatters his sense of honor and belonging. Hungry for purpose, Darach seizes the chance to deliver a message in the unknown future, uncertain if he'll ever be able to return to his own time.
Celeste Lowell is no stranger to loss. Haunted by the deaths of her family and the mysterious disappearance of her best friend, she drifts through her days, searching for meaning in the wake of heartbreak. But when an enigmatic stranger with a deep Scottish accent collides with her on a busy crowded street, Celeste is drawn to the Highlander in ways she can't explain.
As Darach and Celeste embark on a journey from the future to the past, they must confront the power of a love that defies centuries. Will Darach's pledge to Celeste be enough to bridge the gulf of time, or will the past demand its due?
Sweeping from the castles of medieval Scotland to the sunlit shores of the Hamptons, The Pledge is a heartfelt time travel romance of honor, sacrifice, and a love that refuses to be forgotten.
