Curb stomps your heart

I thought I was fully prepared for this book- there weren’t many things that Surprised me, but that did not change the emotional impact of it. My heart aches for the mother of this story and it makes me want to call my own mom. Several sections are written in second POV, which took a while to get used to, but was still a wonderful book.
