Plainsman Afire
His mother was murdered. His home was burned. He remembers every face.
Now Heston Price is coming for them.
Years after six riders destroyed his family and left his childhood in flames, Heston has grown into the kind of man the frontier learns to fear. Fast with a gun, hard to kill, and driven by a vengeance he cannot abandon, he rides across the American West hunting the men responsible one by one.
Every town brings another trail.
Every saloon holds another threat.
Every gunfight pushes him closer to the truth.
But Heston's journey is no simple revenge ride. The deeper he travels into violence, loss, love, and frontier justice, the harder it becomes to separate the man seeking justice from the killer he has become.
He can survive an ambush.
He can outdraw a gunman.
He can stare down men who want him dead.
What he may not survive is the fire burning inside him.
Plainsman Afire is a gritty, character-driven Western noir packed with gunfights, outlaws, frontier towns, horses, dark humor, betrayal, romance, and moral conflict.
At its heart is one brutal question:
How much of yourself can you sacrifice for revenge before there is nothing left worth saving?
For readers who enjoy hard-edged Western fiction, gunslinger stories, frontier justice, revenge thrillers, and morally complex antiheroes, Plainsman Afire delivers a violent, atmospheric ride through an unforgiving American West.
Some men ride for money.
Some ride for glory.
Heston Price rides because six men should have died years ago.
