Peculiar Engagements is a mystery series following Xristian Cornack - consultant, gentleman of independent means, and a man who has been alive considerably longer than the cut of his suit suggests.

Each title in the series is a standalone mystery set against the broader operations of the Foxander Casino and Resort Complex, whose interests span more jurisdictions than its official documentation acknowledges. Xristian moves between the physical world and its adjacent layers with the ease of someone who has had a long time to learn the geography, accompanied by an assistant whose composure is nearly equal to his own and a support network that includes, among other resources, a caf that does not appear on any floor plan and a log-keeper who notices everything.
