Historical Fiction

Not as entertaining as I wanted. It was just okay…

Very Good!!!!!!

I Think it was i great movie and i bet the book is better because the book is always better then the movie!!!!

"December 7, 1941-A Date Which Will Live In Infamy..."

PEARL HARBOR is a truly remarkable novel! It makes you feel the pains, the emotions, and the sadness of that terrible day when our nation went from peace time to war time. It is also more historically accurate than the film version, even though the film is still the best film of 2001. An exceptional read! Almost ranks up there with the Shaaras' Civil War Novels (THE KILLER ANGELS, GODS AND GENERALS, THE LAST FULL MEASURE, and GONE FOR SOLDIERS). You won't be disappointed! Grade: A+

ummmmmmmm.... just read it

people say its not as good because the movie relied on sound effects, but it describes more, and is a lot easier to understand. they described how people felt and they also made sure people understood the feelings... not even the movie did that. i personally would go for the movie only because it has Josh Hartnett in it, but if it didnt i would definatley go for the book.

Nonhistorical point of view

This review is coming from a nonhistorical point of view, for all the casual readers who just want to read for the fun of it. Some minimal background knowledge is helpful, as this is very fictional but coincides with various historical incidents in World War II around December of 1941/early 1942. The book appears to be over early on, but several twists keep it going. I won't go into any more detail, but I recommend this book, which is a fairly emotional one.
