Excellent companion to the Maker's Diet

Patient Heal Thyself is about 60% the same information as the Maker's Diet, but in some areas it covers information more thoroughly which is very helpful when you're trying to absorb this major lifestyle change. PHT went into more detail on what the different supplements can do for you and why they work, it went into more detail on clinical studies conducted to prove the Diet's truths, and half the book discussed specific ailments and what dietary changes should be made to achieve optimal health. All I can say regarding the Maker's Diet and PHT is that this is the time of year my three children suffer with horrible allergies, including once a week shots and are on 5-6 different asthma medicines and now after a month on the diet and the supplement Primal Defense, they're symptom free.

This is a great book... you just have to get past the sales techniques for the author's products and focus on the points he's making. I started following his program "generally" without buying any of his brand name supplements and I later found that two diagnosed diseases I had been told I had were gone... Chron's disease and herniated discs. The doctors don't have an explanation. During follow-up testing, both problems were gone. I now buy a few of the author's supplements (primarily because I've learned to trust what he has to say), but I've also learned enough from his book and what God has provided for us in the Bible to augment this author's ideas. In my opinion, this is a must-read. It certainly can't hurt.

Don't let the marketing hype put you off!

I first came across this book about a year ago when our local Whole Foods gave it out for free. I was impressed with Mr. Rubin's story, but was put off by the thought that he was simply trying to market his products. I wish I hadn't wasted that year. After having tried everything else and getting no results, I decided to give this a try as a last resort. After less than one month of taking the products, I am in excellent health. The chronic conditions I had suffered with for several years are now gone! Yes, I agree, this book is a marketing strategy. But don't let that put you off from purchasing an incredibly effective product. Read the book, give it a try, you have nothing to lose, and everything to gain.
