The story of the Exodus and descriptions of Passover rituals and practices are included in this edition of the "On My Own Holidays" series for early readers and students who struggle with reading. The illustrations, in soft, colored pencil, complement the text and a glossary is included. In addition to Hanukkah (also by Fishman), the series includes Chinese New Year, Christmas Around the World, Cinco de Mayo, Ramadan, and Veterans Day and will be most useful to public and secular collections. The information presented is widely available in other sources; however, with the shortage of easy readers with Jewish content, this book fills a need. For ages 6-8. Reviewed by Rachel Kamin
