A Truly Helpful Program

Like every test that Texas puts out in the educational field, the TExES exam is a tricky little monster. This book's focus on matching the state's objectives (competencies) to the question at hand is unique, and it WORKS. It's sort of like the dating game -- the state of Texas is your date, and you have to decipher what they want you to say on the test. Some people don't realize that this strategy not only works, but works when other strategies fail. I found this to be extremely helpful to me when I took my tests. I also enjoyed the study material and found it to be thorough and accurate. The book is somewhat pricey, but with the inclusion of the CD, I felt it was a good value for my money. I got 94% on my test. :)

Great Visual Review

This consize preparation outline is great for visual learners. It is supplemented by Power Point presentation outlining key points. The presentation is interactive, so you can test your knowledge. The book itself provides very brief OUTLINE, and ESSENTIAL KEY POINTS, so if you need a refresher course in more details you would need to get something else. But if you need help in remembering concepts, memorizing boring definitions, this is the book for you! It also has some key pointers to test taking that are very helpful. The book gives you a better understanding of test structure, how to "dissect" the questions and provides you with strategies to find the best answer when in doubt.
