Writing, especially poetry is like giving birth. There is much sadness, agony, pain, and happiness hidden in the process. For me at least, it is an unavoidable one. This collection of poems were penned over a year's journeys that covered more than twenty thousand miles. Somewhere along the line between the wide-open landscape of Dakotas and deserts of Arizona layers of my thoughts peeled off to reveal my deep inner secrets. It is through these thoughts that I connect to this Earth. It still bewilders me, where breathtaking landscape can take a man, knead him, break him until he has no safety nets to hold him. At that point, he can only trust his inner connection with the All. That is vulnerability defined for me. Here, in a collection of poems, I share them with you.
