Parking Lot Agreements
Sadie Quinn has spent years keeping her bookstore alive by controlling every variable she can.
Then Mateo Ruiz parks a taco truck in her nearly empty lot.
The arrangement is supposed to be temporary: four nights a week, strict hours, no music, no seating, no complications. But Luna Roja brings more than late-night customers. Nurses stop in after exhausting shifts. Bartenders linger over paperbacks. Graduate students argue about science fiction beneath string lights. And Quinn & Page, a bookstore that had been quietly fading, begins to feel alive again.
So does Sadie.
Mateo is everything she distrusts-improvisational, optimistic, and far too comfortable letting people stay. Yet beneath his easy humor is a man who has learned his own reasons for avoiding permanence.
When the growing crowds attract city scrutiny and a developer offers Sadie a clean escape from her debts, the little community they built faces a harder question than whether the parking lot can survive.
Sadie and Mateo have to decide whether protecting something means keeping it unchanged-or caring enough to let it become permanent.
PARKING LOT AGREEMENTS is a warm, closed-door contemporary romance about a struggling bookstore, a late-night food truck, opposites who argue like it is a competitive sport, and the ordinary places that become important because people choose to stay.
