Papa: Figuring Out What Matters

Award winning essayist Brent Olson takes you into his world. From an old house on the edge of the prairie in western Minnesota, Olson takes you on a funny and moving tour of the neighbors, ghosts, and ancestors who have helped him figure out what matters. Along the way he introduces the reader to the delightful complications and clarifications that come with a granddaughter from Ethiopia. This is a journey as personal as one small brown face first seen in an airport hallway and as expansive as his take on the rights and responsibilities that come with being a father, an American and a citizen of the world. Laugh, cry, pound the table in indignation, and join Brent Olson in "Figuring Out What Matters." This description may be from another edition of this product.
