Fantastic Book for dinosaur and mystery fans

My son loves this story and can hardly wait for our family reading of it every evening. The main characters are solid yet realistic, the plot builds nicely and the setting crosses our country as the young protagonists set out to solve a missing persons case. The story is enough kid-centered while still bringing in fascinating facts about saber tooths and other similar time-period animals. This book was a great 'hook' for my son who prefers to read factual books about dinosaurs and other extinct animals. We 'had' to learn more about the La Brae Tar Pits after reading this story. As with the other PaleoJoe books, this one drives the reader to learn more about the extinct animals in the story! Rock on! (all puns intended!)
