Little books like this, focusing on tiny moments of Padre Pio, in reality add up to huge insights, and can sweep us quickly into the realm of Padre Pioland. This one is a cornucopia of humor and should be on your Padre Pio shelf!

This book is truly wonderful and inspiring and even humorous

This book is inspiring, humorous (yes, Padre Pio had quite a gentle, sometimes impish sense of humor as well as being a very holy man !) and wonderful. I loaned it to friends, who loved it so much they still have it ! haha. They really loved all of the stories in it. This book is one story after another about Padre Pio; miracles that happened through his prayers for someone; meetings with him by people who went to him for help or advice; miracles people witnessed that were a result of his prayer; and really funny stories about small 'jokes' (harmless ones) he'd pull; this book is wonderful, my favorite about Padre Pio ! It must be read if you have any interest in him whatsoever, in my opinion. I love reading stories about Padre Pio by people who met him or had help from him. What a wonderful, kind, intelligent, compassionate, caring and holy man. A stigmatic priest who died in 1969 but for many, lives on. He was a priest, in a small town in Italy, for 50 years, and many people came to see and hear his Mass because it was an indescribable experience. He bore his suffering quietly and with humility and grace and even humor. He is inspiring so the stories from those who met him are too !! I want to order this book again myself ! Padre Pio truly loved/loves his spiritual children. Read stories by some who met him themselves and saw his effect in their own lives. The things he had to say, are eloquent, and intelligent, and filled with God's love. You will be glad you got this book ! (Also, for those who find just a few minutes at a time to read sometimes, it's a good book because each story is one or two pages long and you can pick up the book and put it down). And, it's also a great introduction to the 'spirit' of what Padre Pio was all about. Inspiring without being 'heavy'; how many books can you say that about ? =)
