God's Harvest Alphabet

Oh how I loved this delightful children's book from the start! The warm Autumn earth tone illustrations introduce us to the fall season with an abundant harvest of apples and Indian corn to pumpkins and quilting bees! I personally love pumpkin patches, the color of orange, quilting with friends and enjoying my garden. Yawn Ariel Pang cheerfully illustrates the joy and extra fun of country living on the faces of the children! Kathy-jo is a very talented author who brilliantly weaves the heart of autumn in a beautiful rhyming text. Two messages are clearly stated by the author that every parent and grandparent loves to share with little ones and that is learning the alphabet and hearing of God's love for us each and every day, especially celebrating God's richest harvest blessings together! I love this book! ***** stars! Worth reading!

Great book!

I bought this book at the store after having picked it up to look at it. I love it! I have such a hard time finding cute, good books about God to share with my 2 year old that hold her attention and are relevant to her world AND are sound theologically. So many are just regular books with "Jesus" thrown in for good measure, but this one does a good job of showing God's handiwork through creation and giving examples of how we can be reminded of His presence through ordinary objects and events. Unlike the other reviewers, neither I nor my daughter found the pictures scary - they are pretty standard children's book illustrations. I give this book 4 stars.
