Annie and Clyde meet as young twenty-somethings on a beach vacation, which morphs into an annual travel destination. Annie's connection to the beach is apparent from the beginning. Clyde, on the other hand, has frivolous notions of what's best and puts his family into tight financial positions in attempts to further his occupational success. With a free-spending brother-in-law, Clyde sees financial success as he imagined it would be.
