About the Story
It is a hot day, and a fly is looking for a cooler place to rest.
The fly follows Dad into the house and lands on a mug, a dish, and Ken's plum. Mom, Dad, and Ken try to make the fly leave, but it keeps buzzing from one spot to the next.
When the family decides to go for a swim, the fly spins and speeds back outside. At last, everyone is glad the fly is out.
The simple story, clear sequence, and repeated language provide meaningful opportunities to practise decoding, fluency, and comprehension.
