The depletion of world petroleum reserves, the instability of petroleum sources, recent increase in petroleum prices and uncertainties concerning petroleum availability have generated interest in renewable energy resources The increasing population density and economic development, particularly in developing countries, has led to a huge increase in energy demand. Fossil Fuels are Non renewable energy resources. Although, these fuels are contributing largely to the world energy supply, their production and use have raised environmental concerns. The environmental effects due to fossil fuels have caused increase in the percentage of carbon dioxide (CO2) enrichment of the atmosphere, and is the primary contributor to the generally accepted phenomenon called global warming. This has also affected formation of cyclones. Also this has results is an uneven changes in the environmental cycle. Use of the petroleum fuels have created number of environmental problems and its side effects among them are the climatic changes like uneven rainfall.
