This book really details all the pitfalls of opening a franchise in canada. What the franchise will do for you, and more importantly what they will do TO you. Read detailed stories from investors who opened a Second Cup coffee, Robins Donuts, Pizza Pizza, O'Toole's and many more francises in Canada and lost their shirt as a result of top down management from the franchisor.There are some cases of franchisors selling businesses not even a block away just so they can make more from selling the investor overpriced cups, furnature, signs, etc.There are some honest companies, but it really opens your eyes to what these people go through. Anyone interested at all in business should read this book!
