A Tangled Wed

I really like the way the front and the back of the book is displayed on this site. The stroy is about Susan Mitchell's love for Barry, she and Barry were almost step-siblings. Sue had been adopted by Mary and Dennis Osborne but Mr Osborne died. Mrs Osborne married Warren Ross. Mary had never really wanted Sue and she let her know by reminding Sue that she wasn't their natural child time and time again. But Warren's son Barry treated Sue with loving kindness. Sue mistook Barry's fondness for love-everlasting. So when Sue met Venetia and introduced her to Barry it wasn't long until Barry found himself married to Venetia. Years later 23 yr old Sue found out that an accident had robbed Barry's thee Children of both mother and father. Sue made up her mind she would go to the children and love them as if they were her own, and she felt if Barry had married her they could have been. But Sue found this wasn't to be an easy task. The children were being cared for by their Uncle Anthony who neither cared for the children nor was he concerned about them. Except to provide a home, food and clothing for the three kids and Anthony hired someone to take care of Peter 6, Jo-Ann 3 and an infant. It took almost all of Sue's two week vacation before she was able to talk to Anthony. Ursula Cathcart made sure that she keep Sue away from Anthony. What Ursula didn't know was that Sue had met Anthony on the plane on the way to Seychelles Islands. Three men fell in love with Sue, Mr Ross' solicitor Hugh Webster, an actor Fergus Baddeley, and Anthony Burgess. Sue was so blind to the love she had for Barry she didn't notice any of the other men. Then Sue found Barry was alive, and he did care for her, but only as a sister. From the back of the book: 'Sue had loved Barry, but he had married her best friend. Now they were both dead, leaving two small children, who obviously needed love and care-and who better to look after them than Sue? But what about this grim uncle of their?'
