"Openings" is a book that you can pick up any time and find something worthwhile to take away with you. This is a great gift book. I was very impressed by the total quality of this book since it is published by a very small press in Seattle, WA. - nice job! Quotations and wisdom gathered over many years are separated into subject areas such as "Peace", "Laughter & Humor", "Journey" and so on. Many of the quotations are from names you would recognize. You'll find such treasures as this piece of wisdom by Beej Whiteaker-Hawks: "Excuses keep integrity at bay", and this quotation by Victor Borge "Laughter is the shortest distance between two people", or this one by Margaret Atwood "A Word after a Word after a Word is Power." This is a timeless book that you will pick up five years after you have purchased it and love it all over again. I highly recommend it.
