"Once Upon a Tree" is the third and final story of this series. It is an imaginative glimpse into the garden life, the wonders of trees and the creatures that live in them.Author Merrilee Hill Tingle has followed a winding road to writing children's books. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, and raised in southern California, she and family moved back to her father's hometown of Seymour in 1969. Merrilee enjoyed a long corporate career in Louisville, Kentucky, and a nine-year stint in the music field before moving back to Seymour to care for her aging mother. Married to Tony since 1982, they have two children, twins, Adam and Claire. All through her life Merrilee has written poetry, but the pleasure of Tony's gardening and grandchildren led to a series of stories which extol nature's beauty and promote kindness to one another.
