Every growing child must master the art of transitions. Ollie's New Beginning is the story of one boy's journey from dependence to independence, with the help of his stuffed dragon Ollie. It is a book within a book, contrasting a magical world and the world we know in a story of timeless relevance. I wrote this book for my son, then seven years old, and the proud possessor of a large green dragon. We developed the story together, and he took a keen interest in the development of the characters and the book. Ollie's New Beginning has been well received by parents of children aged five to ten; in some cases to be read to a child, and in some cases read by the child.
